Our General Conditions

Booking

You may submit your booking request by completing our booking form or sending us an informal request in writing.

To make the reservation for your trip we need the following information from you:

  • Arrival and departure dates with flight numbers and flight times
  • Number of persons
  • Full names
  • Nationality
  • Passport numbers
  • Desired hotel category
  • Double room / twin room / single room
  • Guide / desired language

CONFIRMATION

Once we have received your booking request, we will make all the necessary reservations and send you the updated booking status within 2 days. As soon as all hotels and domestic flights have been confirmed in writing, we will send you our invoice.

BANK ACCOUNT

With our invoice you will also receive our bank account details.

PAYMENT

Upon confirmation of your participation in the tour we kindly request a deposit of 30% in order to guarantee your reservation. The deposit is non-refundable.

The amount stated in the invoice should be credited in full without deduction of any bank transfer charges.

The remaining balance may be paid in cash in US$ upon arrival in Myanmar or transferred into our bank account 14 days before your arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation fees may be incurred if you cancel after your booking has been confirmed. Most hotels have a cancellation deadline of 4 weeks. Special conditions apply for cruises, beach resorts and boutique hotels.

CANCELLATION FEES

Over 31 days before arrival: 30% of total amount (deposit)
30 to 21 days before arrival: 50% of total amount
20 to 7 days before arrival: 80% of total amount
Up to 6 days before arrival and in the event of a no-show: 100% of total amount

Irrespective of the above-mentioned cancellation fees, some ship owners have other contractual conditions; any such conditions will be specified in your reservation confirmation and are binding. In order to cover any risk of cancellation fees, we highly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

A change of tour date within 31 days will be treated as a cancellation, and cancellation fees will apply accordingly.

A re-booking fee of US$ 25 per person will be charged for any revision or alteration after the booking is confirmed.

CHILD POLICY:

We guarantee special discounts for children between 2 and 12 years of age sharing a room with their parents.
With extra bed: 25% of adult price

Without extra bed: 50% of adult price

Children under 2 years may stay free of charge, subject to a prior arrangement for bedding.
A maximum of two children per party will be granted such a discount.

INSURANCE:

We recommend travel insurance to cover loss in the event of accidents, theft or cancellation.

EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY

Golden Clover Travels & Tours Co. Ltd. acts only on behalf of airlines, hotels, transport operators and other service companies providing services. Golden Clover Travels & Tours Co. Ltd. is not therefore responsible for any loss, accidents, injury to health or other personal damage in the event of death, personal losses, delays, transport breakdowns, labour disputes, acts of war or civil war.
Additional expenses caused by Acts of God, extreme weather or other events (as mentioned above) must be borne by the tourists. No rain cheques or compensation will be offered for non-attendance, rain or cancelled activities. Meals not taken are non-refundable.
Golden Clover Travels & Tours Co., Ltd. reserves the right if necessary to alter the programme due to reasons beyond our control or in the interest of our clients. In this case, Golden Clover Travels & Tours Co. Ltd. will undertake to offer sufficient and satisfactory alternatives.

By booking with Golden Clover Travels & Tours Co. Ltd. you are granting your implicit consent to the above-mentioned conditions.
