Boulder Island on the western side of the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar is home to the “Boulder Bay Eco Resort”, opened its gates in autumn 2017. Overall a lot of attention has been paid to building with as little impact as possible, cutting trees only where absolutely needed and leaving the island in its natural state. Bungalows are built entirely from renewable sources and the resort can hardly be seen from the water.
Boulder Island is an amazing new concept in eco-friendly tourism, combining the amenities and comforts of the major resort with a dedication to sound ecological practices. There are four stunning beaches to choose from: Boulder Bay, Eagle Beach, Coral Bay and Moken Beach. Each features sand that will make you think you are placing your feet on a silken pillow of earth, so dazzlingly white that you will not believe your eyes.

- Land transfer from the airport in Kawthaung/ Myanmar or Ranong/Thailand to the pier in Kawthaung
- Boat trip Kawthaung – Boulder Island - Kawthaung. Departure from Kawthaung jetty every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 10.00; from Boulder Island every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at around 06.00
- Accommodation in the Boulder Bay Eco Bungalows (double or single occupancy)
- Full board while on the island (3 meals). Lunch and dinner have at least 3-4 dishes per meal
- Drinking water, soft drinks, tea and coffee at the resort
Please note that we charge a cork fee for beverages you bring with you (1 US$ per beer can and 10 US$ per bottle of wine or alcoholic beverage) - English-speaking Resort and Guest Relationship Manager
