Bay of Bengal Resort
This resort is located at the northern end of the Ngwe Saung beach, and on foot, is around 30 minutes away from town. The resort is a modern artistic interpretation of the traditional and elegant Myanmar style. The ultra-modern roofs were especially designed to flood the resort with naturally filtered, calming light. This makes the Bay of Bengal Resort – with its unique style, its unmistakable originality and genuine exclusivity – a place for relaxation like nowhere else. The Pier Restaurant, with a splendid view over the Bay of Bengal, is directly adjacent to the swimming pool and pampers its guests with an excellent choice of Thai, Chinese and European dishes. The hotel bar offers a large selection of fine wines, liqueurs and cocktails.
The hotel includes a swimming pool, a children’s play area, a wellness oasis and a small library. For sporting activities, a diving centre, a fitness room and a tennis court are available as well as attractive possibilities for boat and cycling tours or wind-surfing.
The Bay of Bengal Resort places great emphasis on the natural light in all its very comfortable 62 rooms. All rooms are luxurious, with the finest materials and fittings, and include air conditioning, bath/shower/toilet, hair dryer, telephone, satellite TV, minibar, room safe, coffee- and tea-making facilities and a veranda or balcony.
