DIL

Hello

Just want to thank you for arranging a great trip. All the guides were great in their own unique way and were all very flexible to my needs. Everything worked like clockwork. I only wrote brief comments on the feedback form, but if you need me to give a very detailed review, please let me know? If you have a trip advisor page let me know…if not you should consider getting one!

Thanks

SANDRA VILLEGAS & YESUI ARANDA

Hello Golden Clover team,

This is long due email to THANK YOU for the amazing time Yesui & I had in Myanmar back in August! We can’t wait to go back

The planning was seamless, and yet had flexibility to accommodate our needs in every city we visited (food, drinks or even a quick nap!). Each tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and kind, we even felt like for a couple of days we were among friends. All of this, on top of the amazing things that Myanmar offered! The food, sightseeing, the temples and the stories had us with our mouths open most of the time.

Truly THANK YOU, you made our Myanmar experience unique! We will recommend you to anyone that visits Myanmar.

Sincerely,

Sandra Villegas & Yesui Aranda

FAMILY REHMAN LINDER

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter,

Thank you for pulling together a fantastic and yet affordable 16 day trip for our family (parents and 2 teenagers).

It was highly valuable to get different proposals from you when booking the trip, leading to a design and content of the journey that could not have been better for us.

We absolutely loved everything from the relative calmness in Mandalay, the majestic pagodas in Bagan to the trekking experience in the mountains including a night in a local house. We will never forget the beauty of Inle and Samkar Lakes. Adding a few days under the swaying palm trees at NgaPali Beach and the visit of Yangon completed our experience.

Also we are very pleased with the execution; everything has run smoothly with your knowledgeable guides and careful drivers consistently turning up on time.
We have felt very safe and well taken care of.

We will recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience something unique; which is so unusual to find these days…

MAARTEN AND VANESSA

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,

Unfortunately the holiday is over and we are back in Malta again
But we had a fabulous time in Myanmar , it was too short .
We especially liked :

  • The Shwedagon , we spent hours there , a very special feel
  • Rangoon Tea House local food
  • Local lunch restaurant in Pindaya selected by Koko ( best in the whole trip )
  • Balloon festival in Taunggyi , absolutely amazing incl the fireworks
  • All your guides , super friendly and knowledgeable ( best one was Koko )
  • The train ride from Hsipaw
  • The jade market in Mandalay
  • The Ayarwaddy River View Hotel in Mandalay , what a fabulous location !
( drinks on the roof terrace overlooking the river )
  • The Irrawaddy Princess river cruise
  • Bagan Thande our Bagan Hotel with dinner under the trees next to the river , romantic !
  • The amazing Golden Eagle ( by far the best operator ) Balloon trip over the Bagan temples
  • And probably the main highlight of our trip ( together with the Shwedagon ) was the visit and lunch at the
very relaxed Monastery that you sponsor on Mandalay Hill , such an unexpected lovely experience and we were happy to sponsor it .

So what can we say , it’s been an absolute blast of a holiday , with a super program thanks to your planning & proposals and the flawless execution of it thanks to your guys in the field .

It’s a pity Klaus-Dieter that we just missed you in Nyaung Shwe , but we were happy to meet in Rangoon .

We hope in 2019 that the issues in the West will be resolved and that Myanmar will again be a top holiday destination , we absolutely LOVED it .

Let us know if we can on-line give Golden Clover our recommendation, you deserve it .

Go well privately & with the business, and Happy Travels !

Maarten and Vanessa

BEST WISHES FROM FREIBURG ISABELLE

Dear Mr. Mueller and team,
my son, (19) and me thank you so much for the perfect organization for our unforgettable trip. After a very good consultation you made us an individual setting of different places and experiences we visited. These gave us a very deep impression of the beauties of monasteries and pagodas, the different countryside’s and of the lovely people of Myanmar. With a normal travel agency, which has not the detailed knowledge of the country, we would not have experienced these multiple and direct contacts to the people (f.ex. the train from Tazi to Kalaw or the 2-day trekking) in this short time.
Best wishes from Freiburg

KEN BAILEY

Dear Shwe Yee,

We have had a fantastic trip to the Andaman Sea, and have really enjoyed Bagan and must compliment your guide Min Min who looked after us well and imparted a lot of valuable information about the district, the temples and the Buddhist religion.

We learnt a lot from him and he was very helpful to us.

We are now in Lake Inle and had a great day today on the lake with Joyce and have especially enjoyed the festival. The evening meal at the Viewpoint Lodge was excellent and as good as the best meal I have ever been served.

Thank you for your excellent preparation and service, we will certainly recommend your business to our friends.

Yours respectfully

MARION

Dear Golden Clover team

I hope you’re doing well

I want to say a HUGE thank you for the 2 days trek. We had an amazing time, everything was smooth and perfectly organized. The guide was truly amazing. He was super nice, was making everything for us to feel great, very dedicated, very professional – he deserves a big thank you. The food was great as well, we really enjoyed discovering local food through the cooking of the cook and getting to taste such a variety of different food. Homestay was a great experience as well.

Last but not least I really appreciated your timely replies, and help with setting up everything. Was really easy to organize thanks to your professionalism.

So I’ll definitely tell my friends willing to go to Myanmar to book with you as well and would be grateful if you can forward our thank you to our guide.

All the best

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter

We have just returned to Australia from our fortnight in Myanmar.

I thought you might appreciate a quick email to let you know that we had an amazing time. The people of Myanmar are very welcoming and the countryside beautiful. The 13 day special trip was a great mix of locations and activities. The trip gave us a taste of Myanmar’s culture, landscapes and everyday life.

The organisation of the trip was flawless. We were met on time, every time. All the guides were extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and eager to share their homeland with us.

Thank you for a great experience and an insight into Myanmar.

ROSIE

Dear Klaus-Dieter,

Sorry I have only just returned to work to receive this email. I hope your mother has made a swift recovery and that you had an enjoyable time in Germany.

I wanted to thank you for arranging that most wonderful trip through Myanmar. The whole experience was really wonderful. Everything worked like clock work. The guides at each destination were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and great fun. The hotels were all great and the trek in particular was a magical experience and one that I will never forget. My trekking guide in particular was really brilliant. His nick name was Kuki but I am not sure of his real name. I would certainly recommend him as an excellent guide for any future groups you send that way.

Thank you so much for this experience and I hope to return to this wonderful country in the future.

Best wishes

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter

We just got back from our holiday in Myanmar and I’m taking the day off to recover.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for answering all my questions, organizing the hotels, and ensuring that all the transfers and flights ran very smoothly. It took a lot of the stress out of planning it all ourselves. In fact, i only got stressed when I came back to the UK.

If any of my friends go to Myanmar I will recommend your agency!

EVA MARIA AND KLAUS FEITEN

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mueller,

We would like to thank you most enthusiastically for the excellent planning of our recent tour to Myanmar. Due to your carefully prepared itinerary we managed to see most of Myanmar’ s highlights in only a short time without feeling rushed or exhausted. We were very happy with your choice of hotels. They were always comfortable and convenient with excellent breakfasts and very good rooms. We are also very thankful for your choice of transport. We moved around swiftly and comfortably and covered a large area of the country without too much effort.

The great success of our trip was also due to the very professional drivers and guides which you have chosen. We were particularly impressed by Shwe Min’s excellent English and German and his great knowledge which gave us a good introduction to the country and its culture. In Mandalay Zaw Moe showed us around the craftsmen’s quarters which we found very interesting and he even gave us the opportunity not only to experience a school but to become active and ‘teach’ the children for a brief time. He was full of consideration and made sure that we were always comfortable. Aung Myo in Bagan achieved the miracle to show us around the huge area of temples and pagodas in only one day without making it boring or tiring. This was due to his great enthusiasm for his local history and culture and his friendly and warmhearted personality which made us feel very welcome. This more than made up for his English pronunciation which at times was difficult to understand. We especially appreciated the opportunity to be shown around by a female guide which we were given on Inle Lake. With her charming personality and her expert knowledge Phyo Thu Lwin made our two days on the lake a truly memorable experience. We are very thankful to her for her patience with all our questions. Of course this is also true for the other guides.

We will highly recommend your company to friends and relatives for its efficiency, reliability and professionalism.

Thank you once again.

Yours sincerely

JAKOB AND SONJA HEIGL

Dear Mrs. Shwe, dear Mr. Mueller,

finally we arrived back home from our Asia trip this week.

As promised, we would like to give you a feedback from our impressions on our Myanmar trip. We would like to point out, that everything was perfectly organized and we were very pleased with our driver, too. He is very experienced and knows very well about the needs and wishes of a traveler.

Generally we were surprised about the high quality of all the accommodations in Myanmar, they exceeded our expectations by far. The most surprising ones were the Hpa-an Lodge and the Mrauk Oo Princess Resort, as one would not expect such high quality hotels in these regions. But also the beach resorts, the Aureum Palace in Bagan and the Vila Inle Resort & Spa were outstanding.

We have learned, that the Myanmar people are very amicable and friendly, especially in regions, which still have not been visited by tourists so frequently. These are also the regions which we liked most. The Delta Region and Pathein, Mrauk Oo, the southern part of Lake Inle, and the Kayin State. We also appreciated very much our special boat trips in Mandalay and Mawlamyine and the train-ride in Pyin Oo Lwin. A special highlight was of course the flight with the balloon over Bagan. The beaches are very nice, too. We liked the Ngwe Saung beach most.

In conclusion we can say, that Myanmar is a very special country, which is really worth to be visited. We have been glad that we decided to do the whole trip by car, as this is the best way to see the country as it is. The tourist hotspots have already started to change.

Finally we would have two requests: If you have a file with the pictures, which the driver made during our trip, it would be nice to get a copy; and do you happen to know how many kilometers we rode? We forgot to ask the driver at the airport.

Once again many thanks for the perfect organization of the trip. We will definitely recommend you to all who wish to see Myanmar in a different way and away from the beaten track. Best regards also to our driver.

Yours sincerely

Dear Golden Clover,
My husband and I were travelling in Myanmar from end of December till the 18th of January. We got your assistance booking hotels, guiding us and organizing our transport.
We have been very satisfied and impressed with your service: The hotels you had found us were all very nice and cozy, with a very kind and helpful staff. Our guides were all very nice, good English speakers and very kind and interesting people, who were very good at adjusting to our interests.
During our trip we decided to change our plans. It was no problem with you, and we even got a refund for the tickets you were able to cancel.
The drivers were kind and were there on time for all the pick-ups we had on our way.
We were so happy that we had got your assistance to make our trip to Myanmar a very interesting and pleasant experience. We hope to come back and will recommend your assistance to friends and family going to Myanmar.
Thank you very much to all of you.

Dear Golden Clover-Team!

Thank you for organizing a very nice trip for us!

We have greatly enjoyed our stay in Myanmar thanks to your competent and friendly team.
The guides in the different locations – Mandalay, Bagan, Kalaw and Yangon – were always punctual, very friendly and forthcoming and catered to all our needs.
Especially in Mandalay, Mr. Min welcomed us in a way which made our first steps in the country easy and enjoyable. He is a very caring and circumspect guide.

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,
It has already been a long time since we came back from our wonderful trip to Burma, and although I have been wanting to drop you a line in order to give you our feed-back, we got caught up in our respective routines, and only now I realize that it is almost Christmas and I have not yet written to you. Please accept my apologies!
The four of us were very happy with all the arrangements you made for us. The itinerary was very varied and gave us a good glimpse into Burma and the accommodation was also well chosen. Our guide, Aung Kyaw San, was very friendly and helpful. All worked out perfectly and we enjoyed our trip very much.
We found the country beautiful, especially the countryside. The people were extremely kind and the endless pagodas and Buddha images filled our eyes and hearts with the beauty of the Burmese history, art and legends. We were also impressed by the beautiful handicraft.
So, with much delay, we would like to thank you for the very well organized trip.
Sincerely,
Maria, Jean-Paul, Inès and Alex

MR. & MRS. BRUEGGEMANN

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter,

We have been back at home for a week now and would like to pass on our thanks and comments for your to – if you wish – publish on your
website:

We would like to thank you, your team and all involved for yet again another amazing holiday! As in 2008, everything went smoothly – from
our first contact to leaving Yangon! The guide used for the transfer in Yangon was very eager to tell us about the improvements in Myanmar
in the last 5 years. We found everyone to be very open, friendly and communicative whilst travelling around the country. Ngpali was everything we imagined it to be (we had private accommodation here) – jsut a shame that the tourists in the big hotels do not support the
local restaurants in the evenings – we had excellent and very cheap food! The flights all went well, despite many take-offs and landings!
The Amara Hotel in Kalaw was beautiful and so peaceful. Friendly staff, gorgeous room. Our guide her, a young lady called San Mya was the most sweetest guide ever! Her open heart and ways let us really get a picture into village life whilst trekking – we were lucky to be able to visit a wedding in one of the villages too. We loved the market in Kalaw too. Arriving in Kyaing Tong, was like arriving in another world. Our guide here D-Dee, was very knowledgable and laid back. We had 2 wonderful days out with him, trekking to various villages and meeting the locals. We loved Kyaing Tong – and the best Shan Noodle Soup ever! We were very lucky to to experience the Akha New Year Festival in the centre. What fun and how lovely to be the only tourists there in the evening!! Our time in Yangon, was unfortunately very brief – but we still managed to visit the Scott Market and take time to have tea at the roadside stands. The Burmese people are the most friendly that we have every encountered! We really hope that with the fast progress being made in Myanmar, that they manage to keep their identity and stay as genuine as they are! We look forward to returning!! =

LETIZIA CACCIALUPI & MICHAEL GOTTSCHALL

Dear Mrs. Shwe Yee,
Dear Mr. Müller,

after our safe return to Germany we would like to thank you and your team for the arrangement of our holidays in Myanmar. It was a real pleasure and we enjoyed every single day.

The organization was simply perfect. We never felt lost during our stay in Myanmar. The guides took care of us every single moment of the tour. They were highly committed to their job and answered the many questions we had, regarding history, art, architecture, religion but also politics very competent and patiently. They showed us Myanmar in general as well as in detail and fulfilled our requests with eagerness.

Due to the selected stages along our journey we think we gained a good insight in the beauty of the country and the openness and kindness of the people. Especially Bagan as well as the trekking tour from Kalaw to Inle Lake were real highlights of our tour.

Once again thank you for everything and we hope we can repeat these holidays with our children in a few years.

Best regards from Germany (at 0 °C).

H. UND I. SCHREIBER

Hello to all at Shwe yoo travel who made our holiday so memorable.
From our pick up at the airport everything was perfectly organised and so interesting and enjoyable.
The drivers were all careful and patient when asked to stop for photos to be taken, the guides particularly Nizer and Mr Oo were delightful travelling companions and we were very impressed with the variety of scenery and experiences.

If you have any possible clients who might like to email us before booking we would be happy to talk with them.

ILONA B TOTH

Dear Klaus Dieter and Shwe Yee:
We hope the holidays have found you well and were happy ones.
Now that things have settled down, I have a minute to thank you for the wonderful trip you had put together for us.
I don’t think we have had a more care free trip than the one in Myanmar. Our guides and drivers were terrific.
The flow of events were smooth and without a hitch. The only complaint (and is nothing to do with you)…
is getting up early in the morning and then find yourself sitting at the airport for hours because the plane is a couple of hours late.
Seriously it was a terrific vacation.

We have passed on the name of your travel agency to several people and we hope something will work out for you.
We very highly recommend Tin Aye Mar as a tour guide. She is fabulous… very knowlegeable in several different fields…
her english is very clear and easy to understand…and she speaks at a normal speed…she was our best guide.
As I said we had a great trip and Myanmar is truly a hidden jewel.
If there is ever any need for a reference or endorcement, you can count on us…and after meeting you and your wife, we consider you as friends.
It was truly a pleasure having dinner with you and meeting your wife afterwards.
Thank You again for a great trip,
Sincerely,

Ilona B Toth

FABIAN SCHLITTLER AND ANNETTE EUGSTER

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter Mueller

We finally found time to thank you for the perfect organization of our tour in Myanmar during the last two weeks. We really had a great time and fell in love with this country, the landscapes, the temples and above all with the people living there. We left Myanmar with exceptional good feelings. The whole tour was perfectly organized and all the guides were really nice, professional and eager to teach us a lot about the people and the culture in Myanmar. We specially enjoyed discussions with our guides Joejoe in Mandalay and with Mr. Oo in Bagan. They both were really nice and also eager to learn about Europe.

All the hotels were a good choice with nice and very helpful staff. The best one certainly was the Arthawka Hotel in Bagan.

When we will be back in Switzerland in 3 weeks, we will recommend your tours to all our friends. Hopefully a few of them will also join your tours to see the golden land, of course with the same guides.

Thanks a lot for everything and greetings from Laos

HELGARD AND GERT

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter Mueller,
I must apologize for not having sent an e-mail expressing our thank for the great job of yours in planning our trip to Myanmar last February. Everything worked well, the guides were skillful, polite and able for the job. The same must be said to the drivers.
The cruise thru the Mergui archipelago was georgeous – even if the boat had her best days behind her – the crew was outstandig and read all wishes from our lips. It was a great start.
The overland tour to Mawlmine and Hpa-An was very interesting and gave us a good impression into Birmesian everyday-life. Guide and driver were very flexible in adjusting the plan to our extra-wishes and were shocked by our hiking skills to Zwe-Kapin and Hpa-An.

Bagan and the Thande Hotel were very relaxing – a bit spoiled by tourism – and we got good impressions and nice pictures.
The highlight of the trip came at the end: Sittwe, the boat trip to Mrauk U, and the days in Mrauk U. The archaic temples and the friendly people came from another world. We were nothing but happy there.
My favourite Myanmar picture comes naturally from Mrauk U.

Thank you again for all the help. I will not hesitate to recommend your operation if someone asks me for a local travel agency in Birma.
Best regards from Germany in summer
Helgard and Gert.

Dear Shwe Yoo Travels & Tours,

I have spent the last almost two weeks travelling around Myanmar with my mother. The tour was organized by your company and it more than fulfilled our expectations. You have planned the trip well with a good variation in the itinerary.

The tour was guided by H Zaw Min Oo, and he made the trip more than excellent. Throughout the tour he has patiently answered all our question and proven his extensive knowledge in the fields of Buddhism, local legends and folktales, the history of Myanmar, as well as flora and fauna. He also modified the trip numerous times to accommodate our interests, such as making a small detour to a village to see the evening life, when we were biking through Bagan. I am 36 and my mother 66 and throughout the trip Zaw was also very attentive to the differences in our physical capacities. His pleasant company and patience have earned him our highest praise.

Your company, the Danish travel agency as well as our guide Zaw receive our best recommendation. This has been a very special experience. We are now telling friends, colleagues and family to choose Myanmar as their next holiday destination.

My mother and I wish you the best of luck in the future.

Kind regards / Med venlig hilsen,

Dear Mr. Mueller

“Our 18 days two-persons tour to Myanmar organized by Shwe Yoo Travels & Tours was the best we had within decades of traveling in Asia. The planning of the agency was diligent and highly reliable, and the sites of visit were carefully selected. The choice of hotels was absolutely superb. All of our four local guides were knowledgable, individually flexible in their programm performance, perfectly friendly and devoted to their country and job. ARLETTE AND ROLAND FLEURY

Report on our journey to Myanmar on the 2nd to the 12th January 2011.

Mr Thant Zin Oo, our french speaking guide, is highly recommended by us.

Our Holiday could not have gone better and every detail was well thought through and planned.

Thank you so much for your choices of places to stay which were always of a good standard and well located. The best of which was, without a doubt, Mandaley Hill Resort. However, everywhere we stayed we were warmly welcomed and the breakfasts were always of a good quality.
The packed programme was adapted here and there as necessary by our very thoughtful and attentive french speaking guide. The type and amount of places visited corresponded perfectly with our physical abilities and our cultural interests. The boat trip showed us a different side of the country.

Thank you so much for your organisation of this trip. We will be recommending you to our friends. We will be particularily recommending our guide Mr Thant Zin Oo. He was always punctual and was very attentive to our comfort and to our curiosity on the trips.

There is a french word ‘symbiose’ which describes well our conversations with him. Everyday he would tell us so many interesting things about Myanmar for which we were very thankful however, he was also appreciative that we brought some french to him. So it was a mutually enriching encounter.
My wife and I think that the combination of his attentive manner with his ability to communicate knowledgeably about life in his country make him a really excellent french-speaking guide.

We highly recommend Mr Thant Zin Oo. He is very professional, competant, knowledgeable and attentive to the needs and wishes of the visitor.

Thank you so much Shwe Yoo for an excellent holiday which was perfectly organised.

We just wanted to say a big thank you for all the work you put into making our trip so memorable. We had a fantastic time, the country is beautiful and the people are charming.
We would particularly like to say what an excellent guide Mr Oo is in Bagan. He is very knowledgeable and took us to some magnificent places and he was fantastic with the children.

Many thanks once again. It was lovely to meet your 3 girls too.
Best regards

Penny, Nicolas, Louis, James and William.

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,
“Lucky! Thats how we feel! Lucky that we found your travel agency (Shwe Yoo Travel & Tours). Normally we travel in Asia independently, however for our first trip to Myanmar we decided to use a travel agent. We booked “last minute” by e-mail and managed to transfer money to you without a problem. Our trip started after we had been in Yangon for 3 days. We took the train to Mandalay (sleeper car) and can say that this, despite being bumpy and not too clean, was one of our highlights of our journey! We spent one day in Mandalay by ourselves and the 2nd day we toured Amanapura/Sagiang/Awa with our guide Joe-Joe (Kyaw Kyaw Win). What a lovely man, excellent english and a great sense of humour! From Mandalay we travelled by boat to Bagan, arriving on New Years Eve. The boat ride with Malikla River Cruise was very comfortable. We had an wonderful room in the Thande Bagan Hotel – and the New Years Buffet was delicious! Again here we had one day alone and one day accompanied by U Kyaw Saw, who was able to give us a very in-depth insight into the history of the pagodas. We flew to Heho, and were met there by Htay (Than Zaw Htay), who was our guide for the next 3 days. Thay proved to be an excellent guide, with his knowledge of plants and farming, of the region and the people, with his humour, his gentle ways, a lovely laugh and his openess!!! The drive to Pindaya (recommended by yourselves) was another of our highlights! Fantastic scenery, we loved the bumpy roads and the country life, vistiing the 5-day market in Aung Ban, and of course the caves in Pindaya, with all the Buddha statues ….absolutly amazing!!! Taking time to mediatate there in one of the niches was a spiritual experience. The manager of the Pindaya Inle Inn was exceptionally kind and upgraded us to a deluxe room with fireplace …which we so enjoyed in the evening, as well as our hot water bottles in the bed (one recommendation, take a woolly hat with you)!! Here the staff were so kind and friendly! The next day we headed back to Heho and onto the Inle Lake. The views around the lake are amazing, with the hills, lake roses, the floating gardens, villages on stilts, and our visit on the 2nd day to Sangka (also with our Pa-O guide Ms. Nway Nway) far south was the other highlight and recommended! We loved visiting the village there, with the cheeky children and the rice-wine making!! Sad to leave, we flew back from Heho to Yangon, where we had one night at the very lovely Savoy Hotel. Our guide for our transfers in Yangon was Bonny-Oo, who had a great laugh and was so open & friendly! Thank you too for the organisation of our flight out of Myanmar, from Yangon-Dawei-Myeik- Kawthaung, transfer from the airport to Kawthaung pier and the border crossing into Thailand, as well as the taxi into Ranong! The ladies assisting us in Kawthaung were also very lovey! Many thanks also go to our drivers throughout the tour, who always had a smile, provided water & fresh wipes and were complete gentlemen in opening doors! We were delighted with the whole service provided and found it to be of excellent value!

Thank you again for everything and we hope to travel with you one day soon again! We shall certainly recommend you to our friends!”

Kind regards from Switzerland

Hello Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter Mueller,

We were all sorry not to have a chance of meeting you in Rangoon to say how much we had enjoyed our Tour
Everything went very smoothly thanks to your excellent guides who cannot be praised too highly.

Putao Guest House..although the rooms we ended up in were scruffy and very badly maintained, the beds were comfortable enough and the marvellous little watchman provided ample hot water for washing which was a big bonus!

The Village House was absolutely fine and we all enjoyed our stay there. Your guide Marcus is an absolutely splendid chap!

The food throughout our trip was very good indeed.

To sum up …we had a really excellent tour and we would all highly recommend Shwe Yoo Travels and Tours to anyone who asks us about Myanmar.

With best wishes

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter:

This is to let you know that my son (Erik), his girlfriend (Audrey) and myself had a fantastic time in Myanmar. We could not have done it without your help and guidance. I have traveled the world for almost 30 years. This trip is by far one of the best I have done.

A special note about our guide, George. He was the best guide I have ever had in all my trips. I had private guides in many places including Africa, South America, Europe and the Middle East. George was the best of all of them. Young, friendly, on time, straight forward and met our needs at every point of the trip. He was just fantastic.

Looking back, I definitely made the right choice to use your company for this trip. I will be more than happy to recommend you to any person wishing to visit Myanmar and use your company.

Finally, stay strong and continued success in your business. You have a beautiful country. It can only get better and, hopefully soon. It is a gem for a tourist like me.

I am originally from Israel (left for the U.S. about 32 years ago). Thousands of Israelis travels to Thailand each year. I believe they will find Myanmar a great country to visit.

Sincerely,

Yaakov Borenstein

Dear Mrs. Shwe Yee, dear Mr. Mueller,

We have been travelling through Burma during the past 3 weeks on an individual tour organized by your travel agency.
This tour had been booked via Marco Polo Reisen in Germany.

Returned safely home just a few days ago, we don’t want to miss giving you some personal feedback on our impressions.

First of all: it was an absolutely wonderful journey, and we enjoyed it so much !

Everything was organised perfectly, accommodation was excellent, all flights (with Air Bagan) were on time and even the weather was just perfect all the
time (the latter most likely beyond your influence …).

In particular, we were absolutely satisfied with the tour guide travelling with us throughout the journey, Mr. Sai Htun Naing.
He was not only knowledgeable with regard to the places we visited, but did a great job to organise whatever was necessary.
Moreover – and we consider this to be quite important – he was a very pleasant company during this long trip, and his knowledge of the English language was excellent.

We shall certainly keep Myanmar in mind as one of the most beautiful countries we have ever seen.
Actually, it was our second journey to Burma, the first one being in 1985 already …
This time, your travel agency has contributed to our satisfaction significantly.

Furthermore, we would like to thank you for the New Year greetings and present given to us on our departure day.

All the best for the two of you and your staff for 2008 !

With best regards,
Petra Soellner + Uwe Schildt

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,

Tania and I just returned home from an extraordinary Burma/Myanmar trip.
To anyone considering visiting Myanmar I would strongly recommend to go and make your own educated opinion. Burmese people are very friendly and welcome foreigners. We never felt at risk.
Traveling to Myanmar/Burma will help the Burmese on 3 critical fronts:
1) Help the local economy.
2) Inform the rest of the world about Myanmar and help find ways to improve the life of millions of people.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to you for having organized such a wonderful trip for us. We have been fortunate to travel around the world and our recent visit to your country will remain a high point among these voyages. Your ability to deliver an outstanding experience is impressive. I suppose it starts with your business philosophy to consider each client as an individual (not just a file number).
A great thank you as well to your fluent English speaking tour guide .Soe Yee travelled with us throughout the country and from morning to evening shared with us the history of Myanmar, the every day life of the Burmese.
As I am writing this letter so many images of our trip come to mind. I guess we would like to come and visit again and this time bring our children along. Maybe you could organize that children Elephant camp…
Thank you so much again for the wonderful dinner we had in Yangon , the lacquer box and for sharing some of your very interesting traveling life stories until this famous and mutual “ eye contact “…
We hope to see you sometime for another Burma Adventure.

WERNER & DEBORAH J.

Hello Shwe Yoo,

How lucky and glad we are that we did not give in to our travel hesitations following the events in September.
Our trip to Myanmar was everything we’d hoped it would be: intellectually stimulating, visually spectacular (we’re avid photographers), and delicious (so many great local meals and restaurants).
My wife and I thank you, Shwe Yoo, for creating an absolutely wonderful independent travel experience for us. As we’d explained when we first contacted you, we are not group travel people, greatly preferring the freedom and flexibility to pursue our interests and take advantage of unplanned activities that arise en route.
Our independent itinerary was impeccably well organized and managed. But for one small railroad challenge, quickly solved, all went precisely according to plan. The attentive guide you selected to accompany us throughout our visit (Yangon, Inle Lake, Mandalay, Bagan, Yangon) showed us the sights with great knowledge and, importantly, sensitivity to our interests and pace. We commend his willingness and ability to satisfy our needs and provide us with a feel of the real Myanmar.
Our only disappointment was that we did not spend more time in Myanmar. We look forward to a return visit and another opportunity to seek your outstanding services.

Dear Shwe Yee,

Thank you very much for your letter and for your perfect organization regarding our travel in Myanmar. Everything was nice! We all are really fond of your country and even I can say more: Myanmar has left the best memories for our family from all South East Asia’s countries. Now I know that the view of sunset in Bagan and walking around Sweedagon will be always in our mind…By the way, now we are reading serious books about Budhism etc. with great pleasure and I understand how important was to include Mandalay in our tour. Thank you once again for all you have done for us.

Give the best regards to your husband and to our guide Yee Yee.

With hope to see you in the future,

Dear Mr. Mueller,
I want to thank you for the beautiful lacquer boxes with the enclosed coasters and for making sure that our trip such a big success when we were in Myanmar. It was my best trip yet trip thanks to your excellent planning and attention to details, and because Ko Ko was such a terrific tour guide.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife during our tour. I hope that one day you will write a book about your travel through Africa and adventures elsewhere during the 3 years that you were on the road. I would like to read it if you do! Thank you again. Eduardo also sends you his thanks.

CLAUDIA G. E

Dear Mr. Klaus Dieter,
I am safely back in Chile after a trip to Myanmar that exceeded all my expectations…!
Thank you so much for organizing everything in such a careful and delicate way, everything worked perfectly, everything that I saw was beautiful and is dear to me.
Thank you also for that delightful lunch with you and your very nice wife and daughters! I hope you made it to your plane! The conversation was so interesting!
Mr. Ko Ko Aye was a great guide, the perfect host to welcome me, make me feel safe and at home, it was so nice to be welcomed at the airport and find that everything was so well organized! Even the money I needed, every detail taken care of.
Then I have for a change a favour to ask you…!
My guide in Bagan who was also excellent, showed me Bagan in depth, unexpected not very visited places, almost on my own… the Pagodas and then the life… he draw in the map all the places we visited, as well he wrote a list of the places we visited but that stayed in the car or with him… I would love to have that map and that list, do you think you could get hold of that and maybe have him or yourself mail that to me…? I would be so thankful!
And then thank you so much for insisting to my guide in Mandalay to take me to that reclining Budha and to see the relics, it was so. so beautiful… it was one of the most impressive moments of my trip… and at the same time more intimate…
The guide in Mandalay was nice in many ways and sort of strange in others… she was the only one who insisted in taking me to supermarkets and malls while I wanted to go to local markets! But anyway, she showed me everything, even a little village off the road, and I loved Mandalay.

And my guide in Inle lake, Mr. Sai Tay Zar was just outstanding, he was so, so nice, he showed me everything in such a delicate way, he made me know the very best of Inle Lake, with the view of someone who knows from the inside, who belongs there, and who loves his Shan State.
All the hotels were just beautiful! Specially in Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake.
I have the dearest memories from Myanmar and its people…! Shwedangon Pagoda, Bagan, the Festival in Inle Lake… so many beautiful and extraordinary things!
