PINDAYA – THA YA KONE – KYET SA KAN - KALAW

DAY 01
PINDAYA - THA YA KONE (L,D)
After breakfast drive to Chone village (appr. 45
minutes) then start trekking to Pane Hne Pin (appr. 1
hour), a Palaung Tribal Village with a population of 600
people. These people make their living from agriculture
and occasionally from hunting, and live in long houses,
with 4-5 families sharing the single storied structures.
Then to Phaung Taw (appr. 1 hour) then to Kyauk Sae (Danu
and Taung Yoe tribes can be seen) and have lunch at the
village. After lunch visit the village and proceed to
Chune Pin (Pao village- appr. 1 hour) then to Tha Ya
Kone (Danu village appr. 1 ½ hrs). Dinner and overnight
at Tha Ya Kone village.

DAY 02 THAYA KONE - KYET SA KAN (elephant camp)
trekking -
KALAW (by car) (B,L)
After breakfast trekking starts with Kyet Sa Kan
(elephant camp appr. 6 hrs) on the way stop at Ywa Tit
Kone (Danu village) which is about (1 ½ hours) from Tha
ya Kone, from there to Chwe tat (Taung Yoe village appr.
1 hour) then to Myek Kha In (Danu and Taung Yoe village
appr. 1 hour) from there to Cho Pa Chone village, then
down hill to Kyet Sa Kan (elephant camp appr. 2 ½ hrs)
where elephants are pulling and carrying the logs from
the deep forest. From there 20 minutes walk to main road
where the car is waiting for the transfer to Kalaw.
