10 weeks after cyclone Nargis

The village of „Shwe Kyune Tar, deep in the south of the Ayeyarwaddy Delta, was a very idyllic village, before cyclone Nargis brought dead and devastation on May 2nd. Up to this day the people had not so much to worry, as everybody had a place to stay and enough to eat. There was a monastery, the heart of the village, and even a little school.

After our first visit at the monastic education school “Yatanabon Yeiknyein”, we had decided to help those children as much as we can. There are more than 90 children between 5 years and 15 years from different ethnically groups (Paoh, Palaung, Padaung, Ynbaw, Taungyoe, Shan, Kayin and Bamar).
