YANGON – NGWE SAUNG – PATHEIN – YANGON (up stream)

Pleasantly cruise with the RV Mahaythi to travel into the Delta region, via Pathein where the traditional umbrella and clay pot painting workshops are located.

DAY 01 YANGON - NGWE SAUNG (B)
Pick-up from your hotel at 08:00 and drive via Pathein to Ngwe Saung Beach (appr. 6 hours). Upon arrival transfer to Palm Beach Resort for check-in. Rest of the day free at your own leisure. Overnight at Palm Beach Resort.
 
DAY 02 & 3 NGWE SAUNG (B)

DAY 04 NGWE SAUNG PATHEIN (B)
After breakfast drive by car to Pathein jetty (appr. 2 hours). Upon arrival in Pathein transfer to Pathein Hotel for check-in. Pathein, situated on the bank of Pathein River Pathein is surrounded by a major rice-growing area that produce the best rice in Myanmar. The population of Pathein includes large number of Kayin and Rakhine in addition to Myanmar. Pathein is known for its lively, hand-painted umbrellas. Overnight at Pathein Hotel.
 
DAY 05 PATHEIN – MYAUNG MYA - WAKEMA (B,L,D)
After breakfast drive by car to Pathein jetty (appr. 2 hours) and board the RV Mahaythi-2 for your delta cruise to Yangon. Enjoy the great scenery of the river side and in touch culture of the villages. Myaung Mya is another major trading town, also well known for the nearby group of ancient stupas (Bagan style) and the Mya Sein Yaung monastery, where the brother of the late Tharmanya Sayadaw is living. In the afternoon you arrive Wakema. Visit the local dock yards, rice mills and vermicelli factories. Dinner and overnight on board.
 
DAY 06 WAKEMA – SHWE LAUNG – MA U BIN (B,L,D)
After breakfast arrival at Shwe Laung where you have enough time to visit the downtown and market area. In the afternoon you arrive at Ma U Bin, an entrance city to the Ayeyarwaddy Division and famous for its fishing ponds and the Pawdawmu Pagoda. Dinner and overnight on board.
 
DAY 07 MA U BIN – TWANTE YANGON (B,L)
After breakfast you arrive Tawnte, a charming little town with clay pot makers. Explore the river town by trishaw or horse carts. At 12:30 P.M the boat departs for Yangon. Lunch on board. Arrival time in Yangon is appr. 15:00 PM.
